From ancient mariners to modern explorers

In July 1969, when Neil Armstrong left for the moon with his Apollo 11 team, he knew there was chance that they may not return. As a precaution, speechwriter William Safire prepared a text ‘In Event of Moon Disaster’ for President Nixon to read on television. The text was never read because Armstrong and his full crew returned. Yesterday, forty-three years after his historic mission, Armstrong passed away. Bellow follows the actual text:
